Puccioni Vineyards is committed to making distinctive Zinfandel and Petite Sirah from the Puccioni Vineyard and the Dry Creek Valley. Our style is to “let the vineyard speak” by producing concentrated wines in a complex and rustic style that exhibit characters of the site.

Puccioni 2013 Old Vine Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley -- SOLD OUT

Tasting Notes: The grapes for this wine were sourced from 100-year-old vines at the Puccioni Ranch that were planted by our great-grandfather.  The wine has aromas of ripe berry with layers of oak and spice, rich dark fruit flavors balanced with black pepper.  This wine is ready to be enjoyed today, but can be aged for  a few years.

Puccioni 2013 Petite Sirah -- SOLD OUT

This wine is sourced from Petite Sirah vines planted at Puccioni Ranch on a steep hillside block. We made only 104 cases.  The wine has Dark berry/spice aromas, rich blueberry and dark chocolate flavors, finishing with a black pepper spice. You can age this wine, but don’t be afraid to drink this Petite Sirah now.

Winemaking:  The grapes were cold soaked for three days to promote extraction and concentration.  They were then fermented in ¾ ton open top fermenters and hand-punched 3x per day for maximum development of color and varietal flavors. The wine was direct pressed to barrels composed of French and  Hungarian Oak  where it finished Malo-Lactic fermentation, and then aged for 18 months in barrel.
